Voice chat on VoiceMe

A voice chat app for people you actually know.

Call your connections by voice or video, join live sessions, and keep control of who can reach you.

Talk, don't type

VoiceMe is a voice-first social app, and voice chat is part of that core. When a message thread needs a real conversation, a call button in the chat starts one with the person you are already talking to.

Voice and video calls sit alongside recorded voice posts, so you can move between listening, replying and talking live without switching apps.

You decide who can call you

Searching a name or handle does not let a stranger ring your phone. Calls only reach people you already have a connection with, and the check happens on our servers, not just in the app.

Live voice sessions

Some conversations are meant to be heard. Live sessions have a stage for speakers and an audience that listens, and the host decides who speaks.

Before you enter a public session you see a short notice about how it works, and you can check your microphone and camera first.

Recording needs consent

A call is not recorded just because it happened. Turning a call into a post is a separate step, and everyone who contributes to the recording has to agree. Contributors keep the right to withdraw later.

Silent listeners are not recorded contributors, and moving a speaker back to the audience does not erase the consent they gave or withheld.
