Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

VoiceMe ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use voiceme.life and related apps (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account info. When you sign up we collect your email, display name, handle, and (optionally) profile photo, bio, and language preferences.

Content you create. Voice clips, videos, lyrics, captions, comments, reactions, tips, messages, and any media you upload to Circles, your Vault, or direct messages.

Voice & video calls. When you place or join a 1:1 or group call we ask your device for microphone access, and for camera access only if you turn your video on. Live audio and video are relayed in real time by our calling infrastructure provider and are not recorded or stored unless every participant explicitly agrees (see the Voice & video calls section below). We do keep call metadata: who took part, whether the call was voice or video, start and end times, duration, and consent state.

Wallet & payments. Token balances, transactions, tip history, payout requests, and (when you cash out or buy tokens) the limited billing information our payment processor needs to complete the transaction. We do not store full card numbers.

Device & usage. IP address, browser/OS, device tokens for push notifications, approximate location derived from IP, and basic analytics about how you use the Service.

Precise location (optional). When you use the My World feature, we ask your device for permission to access your precise (GPS) location so we can show you nearby lounges, creators, and activity. We only collect precise location while you are actively using that feature, you can decline or revoke the permission at any time in your device settings, and we do not share precise location with third parties for advertising.

From third parties. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and avatar from Google. If you connect a payment provider, we receive transaction confirmations from them.

2. How we use your information

  • Operate the Service: authenticate you, deliver content, send notifications.
  • Power core features: tipping, wallets, payouts, Circles, DMs, search, leaderboards.
  • Personalize your feed and recommendations.
  • Detect fraud, abuse, spam, and policy violations.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Communicate with you (product updates, security notices, support replies).

4. How we share information

We share data only as needed:

  • With other users: your public profile, posts, and tips are visible according to the privacy you choose for each Circle or clip.
  • Service providers: hosting, database, storage, email, payment processing, analytics, and content moderation vendors, under contractual confidentiality.
  • Legal: when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the Service.
  • Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to you.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Chat & content moderation

To keep VoiceMe safe, all conversational surfaces on the Service are automatically screened by our moderation systems. This includes:

  • Direct messages (1:1 voice and text DMs)
  • Lounge, Hub, and Space chats and voice rooms
  • Comments, reactions, and captions on clips
  • Voice clips, lyrics, and any media you publish or send

Moderation is applied to detect illegal content (including CSAM, credible threats, doxxing, and grooming), spam, and violations of our Community Guidelines. Automated classifiers may transcribe voice, scan text, and analyze media for these signals. Messages flagged as violating the law may be blocked, removed, or reported to the appropriate authorities as required.

Direct messages remain private between participants: staff do not read DM contents except (a) when a message is reported to us by a participant, (b) when automated systems escalate a high-severity safety signal for human review, or (c) when required by law. We do not use the contents of your private messages for advertising or to train third-party AI models.

6. Voice & video calls

Calls on VoiceMe are private by default. Audio and video are streamed live between participants through our calling infrastructure provider and are not written to storage while the call is in progress.

  • Consent-gated recording. A call can only be recorded once every participant who has joined has individually switched on their own consent. Any participant can withdraw consent, which stops recording.
  • Always visible. While a call is being recorded, a red "REC" indicator is shown to everyone on the call, including in the minimised call pill.
  • Publishing. A recorded call can only be posted as a clip if recording was consented to and all joined participants still consent at the moment of publishing. Otherwise the recording is discarded.
  • Permissions. Microphone access is required to speak; camera access is requested only when you turn your video on. You can revoke either at any time in your device settings, and calls will continue without them.
  • Playback, not downloads. Everyone who was on a recorded call can listen to it in the app afterwards, from the call's details. Recordings are served over short-lived links and cannot be downloaded or exported from VoiceMe by anyone, including the host.
  • Anyone can take it down. Consent is ongoing. Any participant — not only whoever posted it — can withdraw consent at any time, which immediately removes the posted clip and deletes the stored recording for everyone.
  • Retention. Consented recordings are kept for as long as the resulting clip exists; deleting the clip, or any participant withdrawing consent, deletes the recording. Non-consented calls leave only the metadata described above.

Recordings play inside VoiceMe and can be removed by anyone on the call at any time.

Published call recordings are treated like any other clip you post and are subject to the same moderation described in the previous section. We do not use call audio or video for advertising or to train third-party AI models.

7. Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by visiting voiceme.life/delete-account or going to Settings → Account → Delete account in the app.

When you request deletion, we start a 30-day grace period. During this time your profile is hidden and you can sign back in to cancel the request. After 30 days, we permanently purge your personal data, including your email, handle, profile media, DMs, and settings.

Some information may be retained in anonymised form where necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. For example, public clips you tipped or received tips on may remain as anonymised activity records.

8. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete content or your account, we remove it from public views promptly and from backups within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain uses of your data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email request@aitwauthentica.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, scoped storage policies, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password and enable any additional security options we offer.

11. Children

VoiceMe is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country if higher). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International transfers

We may process and store your data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information when it is transferred internationally.

13. Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage. You can clear them in your browser at any time; doing so may affect how the Service works.

14. Advertising & tracking

VoiceMe does not display third-party advertising and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes. We do not share your data with data brokers and we do not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency identifier (IDFA) for cross-app or cross-site tracking. Analytics we collect are used only to operate and improve VoiceMe.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, give you additional notice (for example, by in-app message or email).
